Operator and buyer
On this site, "runs" means the company that operates a casino. BCLC conducts and manages the gambling itself.
A sale is agreed. Great Canadian and Tsleil-Waututh Nation signed a memorandum of understanding on June 6, 2025, then a definitive agreement on November 7, 2025. It covers the casino portion of Hastings and its casino-related real property. The City of Vancouver and regulators must both approve the deal. This guide names Tsleil-Waututh Nation as the buyer, not the owner.
Great Canadian acquired the lease of the city-owned Hastings track in 2004. On December 5, 2025, it said it would no longer run a racing season there. Simulcast races from other tracks continue.

Dated history
The racetrack at Hastings opened for business in 1889 under the name East Park. Hastings Park is where the casino is located, on ground that belongs to the Hastings Racecourse. Great Canadian acquired the lease of the city-owned track in 2004.
Five dated changes follow, from 2025 and 2026. Great Canadian signed a memorandum of understanding with Tsleil-Waututh Nation on June 6, 2025. The last live race of the season ran on October 19, 2025. A definitive sale agreement followed on November 7, 2025.
On December 5, 2025, Great Canadian said it would no longer run a racing season at Hastings, effective immediately. The province ended slot-revenue funding for racing effective January 31, 2026.

On the floor
Hastings Casino operates from 11 AM to 12 AM Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 AM to 2 AM on Friday and Saturday. These are Pacific time. Hours on holidays may change, so confirm them on the casino's own website.
The gaming floor consists of slot machines, and no poker room or live table games are listed. Because the slot counts published by the venue and by its operator do not match, this guide does not give one. Races from other tracks are shown by simulcast on a monthly schedule. BCLC conducts and manages the games, as at every casino in the province.
Near the gaming floor, food and drink are served in an indoor lounge with a stage and a full-service bar. Just off the racebook, Jerome's serves casual meals. The loyalty card is Encore Rewards, the same card named at fifteen of the sixteen casinos in this guide.
