About this guide

Who pays for Whose Room

Three links on the home page of Whose Room, each one carrying an Ad label, pay for the site. Nothing else pays for the site, and none of the casinos it describes pays for any of it.

What the partner is not

A private online casino is the partner behind the paid links. BC holds no licence over it and plays no part in running it, and PlayNow is a separate operation. Neither BCLC nor the IGCO is linked to it, and neither is any casino operator, owner or casino covered in this guide. No online gambling site in British Columbia is legal apart from PlayNow.com.

Playing there leaves a BC resident without any of the protections the province provides. That site falls outside PlayNow limits and Game Break. The IGCO does not accept complaints about that site.

Who never pays

This site receives no payment from casinos, operators, owners, BCLC, the province or help services. That includes Gateway and Great Canadian, which run casinos, and Petroglyph and Musqueam Capital, named as owners. Links to any of them are never paid, and none carries the Ad label.

The graph that links owners to rooms by year shows the same record whoever pays for the site. A change of partner on the home page does not change a date, a sale or a name in it.

Questions

Do casino owners pay to appear on Whose Room?

No casino owner pays to appear here. No payment comes to the site from operators, BCLC, the province or help services either, and no link to them is paid. The record of who owns and who runs each room is written the same way for every casino.

What is the reason the online casino partner goes unnamed?

Since the partner may change, the site leaves it unnamed. On the home page, three links carry the Ad mark, and each goes to that one partner. The site's commission comes from it alone, from no other party.

Are there paid links on this page?

This page carries no paid links. The home page alone has three of them, each marked Ad: in the menu, right below the first screen, and toward the end.
