Owner and operator now
Petroglyph Development Group took over Great Canadian Casino Vancouver on May 5, 2026. The sale had been first announced on December 19, 2025. Snuneymuxw First Nation is the sole shareholder of Petroglyph, which serves as the Nation's economic development arm. The company puts it this way: the profits, all of them, "go back to the Nation".
Under a limited licence, the Great Canadian name stays with the casino. That name dates from December 2023. Earlier it was Casino Coquitlam, then Hard Rock Casino Vancouver.
In British Columbia, BCLC conducts and manages casino gambling, while private service providers run the casinos. On this site, "runs" means the operating company, and "owns" appears only where an owner or a sale is published. No separate operating company is named here for the Coquitlam casino. No sale price is given either.
