Who runs which room

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited runs four of the nine: Grand Villa Casino Burnaby, Starlight Casino New Westminster, Cascades Casino Delta and Cascades Casino Langley. The same company runs four more casinos in the Thompson-Okanagan.

On November 7, 2025, Great Canadian signed a definitive agreement to sell the casino portion of Hastings to Tsleil-Waututh Nation. It agreed on March 9, 2026, to sell Elements Casino Surrey to SE-MI-AH-MU Development Corporation of Semiahmoo First Nation.

Petroglyph Development Group, wholly owned by Snuneymuxw First Nation, took over Great Canadian Casino Vancouver in Coquitlam on May 5, 2026. Since June 16, 2026, River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond has had two owners, Petroglyph and the Musqueam Indian Band's Musqueam Capital Corp. Parq Casino stands apart from both groups. Its own pages name no owner or operating company, only "Parq" acting on behalf of BCLC.

Distances between rooms

Each distance on this page is a straight-line figure, taken between two OpenStreetMap points. These figures do not follow roads, and the guide does not supply travel times. Hastings Casino is 4.0 km from Grand Villa Casino Burnaby and 5.6 km from Parq Casino. Grand Villa and Parq are 8.0 km apart.

From Parq Casino, the distance is 8.9 km to River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond and 15.1 km to Starlight Casino New Westminster. Cascades Casino Delta is 19.0 km off. Elements Casino Surrey sits at 33.2 km, and Cascades Casino Langley at 38.2 km.

What stays the same on the floor

BCLC manages all commercial gambling in British Columbia for the provincial government, so it conducts the games in every room listed here. Admission is open to adults aged 19 and up. From June 2023, all guests have shown government-issued photo ID when they arrive, and the ID is matched against the self-exclusion list. All nine Metro Vancouver casinos name Encore Rewards, the same players' card, on their own pages.

Four of the nine never close: Cascades Langley, Grand Villa, Parq and Starlight. Closing time at Hastings and Cascades Delta is 12 AM, moving to 2 AM on Friday and Saturday. Only table hours are published for River Rock and Great Canadian Casino Vancouver.

Times given here are Pacific time; for holiday hours, consult the website of each casino.

Questions on the record

Who runs Grand Villa Casino Burnaby?

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited runs it. In this guide, Gateway operates four of the nine casinos in Metro Vancouver and eight of the sixteen in total.

Has Hastings Casino been sold?

A sale is agreed. Great Canadian signed a definitive agreement on November 7, 2025, to sell the casino portion of Hastings and its casino-related real property to Tsleil-Waututh Nation. The City of Vancouver and regulators must both approve the deal.

Who owns River Rock Casino Resort?

Since June 16, 2026, a partnership of Petroglyph Development Group and Musqueam Capital Corp has owned it. Petroglyph belongs to Snuneymuxw First Nation, and Musqueam Capital to the Musqueam Indian Band. The partnership bought River Rock from Great Canadian Entertainment.

Who owns Parq Casino?

Parq's own pages name no owner or operating company, so the current owner is not named here. In February 2019 Paragon Gaming sold its stake in Parq Holdings to PBC Group. In May 2019 Parq Holdings restructured its debt after an investment from an unnamed equity partner.
